The extended-term sturdiness of Roman concrete structures is found being as a consequence of its usage of pyroclastic (volcanic) rock and ash, whereby crystallization of strätlingite as well as coalescence of calcium–aluminum-silicate–hydrate cementing binder assisted give the concrete a higher degree of fracture resistance even in
